Welcome from Headteacher
Hello my name is Janet Hand and I am the Headteacher at St Paul's. I became Headteacher in April 2001. Our aim is to ensure that all children have a postive experience at this school. Academically we expect our children to achieve their full potential. Socially we expect them to be responsible for their own actions and care about each other. We expect our children to work hard and play hard.
We have a dedicated staff who provide very well planned and organised lessons and activities. We have a supportive and hard working group of governors who are highly skilled in different areas.
Our SATs results are improving year on year because continuity and progression are ensured and children are tracked closely. Targets are set and these are shared with parents.
St Paul's is a controlled Church of England school which means that we are totally funded by the Local Authority, receiving no funding from the church. We do promote the Christian ethos and moral code. Our acts of collective worship are Christian in nature.
Children are very happy at this school which is confirmed when ex pupils return and tell us how much they miss the environment of St Paul's.
